Creative Works
Interested in our written work? Our representative, Michael D. Hilborn, has given us the opportunity to publish a few of his literary endeavors. The pickings are slim, partially due to the reluctance of the author to publish any of his work, but mostly because the author's writing skills have been isolated to scientifc publications and an unfinished 500-page novel (currently in its second draft).
  • 'Til the End: This is the final editorial of The Lafayette college newspaper for the 1993-1994 academic year. Those who have read it have praised it for both its sentimentality and its frankness.

  • A Cup, a Riddle, and a Phantom Digger: Written exactly four years after 'Til the End, A Cup, a Riddle, and a Phantom Digger recounts the tale of the author's fall into depression when he attempted to be something that he never could be. It is a fitting conclusion to its predecessor, but since it contains information of an extremely personal nature, it will not be available to the public for several years.

  • The Tale of Captain Johne: Designed to be read over the world wide web, The Tale of Captain Johne is a work of fan fiction based on the Ultima series of role-playing games. Requires Netscape Navigator 3.0+ or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0+ to run properly.

  • The Dark Core: Interactive fan fiction designed to play over the web or on your hard drive. Again, it is based on the Ultima series of role-playing games. Requires Netscape Navigator 4.0+ or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0+ to play the game, although the documentation, screen shots, etc. can be viewed with any browser.
