Those who do it not always can teach it to others. For example, I learned playing chess way back when, but could never teach it to my kids, who learned the game from school's chess club! With Twitter, I chose who to follow. If there is too much info I can just stop following them. Unlike facebook, there is no "stigma" around doing that.
