'Tis said that hidden within the Serpent's Spine there lies a valley surrounded by the most majestic of peaks. Within these mountains, so the minstrels sing, runs a series of catacombs, the Weyrmount, home of a race of Dragons. They are no ordinary breed of serpent, unlikely to hoard riches, devastate towns, or devour maidens. Historians, philosophers, warriors, artisans, and personas of all sorts make up this lot. Although much discussion involves the history of Britannia, more often than not, talk centers around the day-to-day affairs of Dragon-kind.

Dragon Lairs
Common mythos in Britannia implies that for each Dragon that lives within the Weyrmount, there exists a complimentary persona in thy world. I, however, believe in no such nonsense, though I have spoken to one of thy kind who insists that 'tis true. This New Breed of Dragon, as he calls himself, has informed me of where thou mayest learn more of his kind:
  • UDIC: 'Tis the main archive for these Dragons, but more recent information can be found at The Unofficial UDIC pages. There is also instructions on how to join the Dragons . . if thou art so inclined.

  • rec.games.computer.ultima.dragons: 'Tis the lair where the earthly personas of the Dragon can often be found. Be wary, though they are the kindest of souls, their discussion is often heated with debate.

  • The Ring of Dragons: Many Dragons dwell within this plane and are eager to share their knowledge.

  • Dragon Home Pages: A list of earthly sites where thou mayest learn more of individual Dragons.
Dragon Personas
Who are these Ultima Dragons, thou might ask? Here is but a small sample of the population:
  • A New Breed of Dragon: Thou hast already been in the mind of this Dragon.

  • Contrapuntal Dragon: A noble fellow from across the far seas, he doth strive to end immoral behaviour over the net.

  • Disoriented Dragon: Though it cannot be found on the Web, the House of Mdme Disoriented is said to be a site of most unearthly and sensual pleasures.

  • Earendil Dragon: Perhaps one of the most enthusiastic of Dragons, Earnedil and her cohorts are authors of the informative Trinsic Telegraph.

  • Erinnyes Dragon: A most motherly of souls, Erinnyes Weyr hosts an excellent archive of Ultima information.

  • Exanter Dragon: Not much is known about this reclusive Dragon. He is a quiet one, but when he speaks, his voice is bound to be heard and heeded.

  • Fortran Dragon: Proprietor of the Hidalgo Trading Company, Fortran collects and pawns Ultima artifacts and wares.

  • Lost Dragon: Although both his mind and body tend to wander, he is a creative and clever soul. Many Dragons eagerly await the release of his game, Dungeon Bane.

  • Polychromic Dragon: The lair of the Polychromic Dragon is a treasure trove of Ultima tips and easter eggs.

  • Reknaw Dragon: This Dragon serves the lonely task of a Greeter to new Dragons and hosts the Unofficial UDIC pages. 'Tis also rumored that sounding his name backwards brings grave consequences to the speaker.

  • Red Ferret Dragon: This one's burrow is filled with odd tidbits of information about Ultima as well as Quake.

  • Vulcan Dragon: A most impassive fellow, but this will not stop him from giving thee a slap if thou dost deserve it.
